These pieces of furniture turned out really well. We painted them black and distressed them( that is our specialty) Gotta love black. The Hutch is my favorite.
We modified the headboard. (which was free from a friend) Thank you Jamie. Took and old picture frame and made a jewelry holder out of it. Painted the dresser which also was a freebie and the knobs free. Found the nightstand and mirror at a yard sale. Very inexpensive re-do. We had a great time and Baylee loved her new room.
We have redecorated each of the kids bedrooms for their birthday this past year. However, Baylee's had much more trash to treasure effect than the others so thought I would share. They all turned out great though
I am thinking this is going to turn out pretty fantabulous. Here is an almost before pic. This piece was originallly blue but of course I forgot to take a before pic til we were done with step one.
Paul was hard at work with our good friend Julia's furniture. She had several smaller pieces. Of course I don't have before pics but here are the afters

It is kind of hard to tell that the piano was blue but it has had a small transformation. Painted the piano this summer. Actually my husband did the paint job (yeah!). This old piano has been a few different colors in it's life but now it is black. I also recovered the bench. Thought it turned out pretty good.
Finally finished my quilt for my bed. Took me a long time to get just the right fabrics. This is only the second quilt I have made for my own bed (I think I will stick to twin and full size for a while haha). It was fun so I thought I would share. Need to add some more pillows though.
I am a simple gal with a simple life. I love to create and spend time with my family and friends. I have a super great husband and three super great kids.
